Rebrand & Retail Concept
A new identity and retail concept design for a popular UK bubble tea chain (in association with Threshold Interiors). We developed a new brand identity that would then inform the store design. We retained the colour yellow for it’s stand out quality and to allow the new design to evolve from the existing, but we wanted the new logo to have a fun yet more sophisticated feel. Our client was looking for fun new icon and we enjoyed designing a bubbly lucky charm character that suggests a playful Asian element within UK style.
The store concept is designed to work as a simple pop-up type fit out for a wide range of sites. We used a black 3D grid structure to integrate the menu screens into the counter and give high level visual impact. Adopting a secondary colour palette of ‘rainbow’ to work with the yellow/black/white of the logo, we used tiles, perspex panels & large vinyl wall graphics to achieve a bright, friendly, fun environment with black square-section steel & timber furniture in the waiting area to keep it grounded and modern.
