NORTH ROAD ALLOTMENTS
Website Re-Design
Re-design of website for a local community group.
Website Refresh
Our clients were happy with the content on their existing website, but it was not working well on tablets or mobiles and looking dated, so they wanted a refresh to bring their online presence up to date.
The website is used primarily by the committee and allotment members, many of whom are retired and would not be considered 'digital natives', but who have used the internet more during the pandemic and have grown used to expecting a smooth-functioning modern web experience..
We used the existing images and copy, but presented them in a more modern and responsive way. We took away the visual clutter and created space with a white background that better showcased the images and improved legibility. The colour palette was rationalised to black/grey with shades of green ranging from a dark sage to a punchy lime.
Website
We took the opportunity to make the website into more of an interface to the committee by including application forms for plots, sheds, greenhouses etc. (this was previously done by paper forms collected from a committee member). The site was built using WordPress, to make it as easy as possible for the committee members to update it themselves.
We are delighted to have been able to support North Road Allotments, which is a fantastic local community asset.
"We love what we do - working with us will be a positive collaborative experience and deliver the right design for your business."
