KIMBERLEY HOUSE
Brand Identity and Signage

Brand identity and signage scheme for a new serviced office building in Cardiff. Main Contractor: Trefoil Interiors. Signage: Hammond Signs

Brand identity
Our client had already invested in major refurbishment of the building, but needed a brand identity & signage elements. The values that they wanted to project were 'modern, professional, relaxed, calm and productive' and the design needed to sit comfortably within the emerging co-working /workspace culture.

Our design is inspired by the leafy campus type feel of the offices and the clean industrial aesthetic of the interior design that features exposed ceilings, plants, painted brickwork, acoustic ceiling rafts & a lime green/charcoal colour palette. The combination of serif lettering for the monogram with the simple san serif caps name, suggests a connection with industrial heritage and gives this new brand a subtle gravitas. The logo is versatile and both the monogram and name lettering work well together and on their own as demonstrated in the signage.

Signage scheme
We designed external and internal signage including large metal pinned-off lettering with concealed LED lighting for the front of the building, an illuminated monolith sign, window manifestations, a wall sign for the Lobby area made from 3D built up metal letters, a family of glass panel signs (Ground/1st/2nd Floor, Suites, Comms Cupboard etc) and large feature vinyl WC signs. The signs work together to create a consistent branded experience and clear wayfinding information on the approach towards and as you move around the building.

"This looks fantastic. I’m very glad I got you involved in the finessing of this project! "
